A good Japanese Maple
for the smaller garden. Inaba Shidare reaches a height of only 2m (6ft). The leaves develop a deep tone of purple-red as they grow in
the spring (the picture above was taken in June) and keep their colour all
season, deepening in autumn (fall).
Bloodgood produces small reddish flowers in May time and usually produces
attractive seed pods with red wings. This acer is readily available both
online and in the shops. It will reach an eventual height and spread of 3m
