Garden Centre Reviews
The 'capital' of the West Midlands is Birmingham, the second most populated city in the UK.
As would be expected, the West Midlands has an excellent choice of garden centres. It has, after all a
population in excess of 2.5 million
people. The climate in the West Midlands is temperate and about the average for the UK neither
particularly hot nor cold. Ideal for growing a wide variety of plants. This makes the West Midlands an ideal area for cultivating the vast majority of garden
plants which are available in the average garden centre. Click on any of the West Midlands garden centres below to read our review of it.

When buying plants from garden centres in the West Midlands you need to consider the soil type
in your garden. The West Midlands has a variety of soil types, from clay to sand. However their is
a slight bias towards clay soils in this area. The NEC in Birmingham is host to probably the most popular gardening show in the UK, the
BBC Gardeners World Show which is held towards the end of June each year. Although this show
is not aimed at the West Midlands in particular, its handy location for the West Midlands gardener's make
it an event not to be missed.
