HOUSE PLANTS
There was a good range of houseplants which were attractively
displayed. They all looked healthy and were competitively priced. In
fact, we bought one of them, you can't get a better recommendation
than that!
OTHER FEATURES
There was a reasonable range of gifts and cards for sale at good
prices. If quality garden furniture is what you are looking for,
then a visit to Strikes should help you. It's not cheap but then
quality never is. They have a good range of hard wood outdoor
garden furniture.
A section of the sales area had been devoted to wicker baskets and
other wicker goods. This was interesting, unusual and varied.
We had a meal at the cafe and were very impressed. It was
attractively decorated with country style pine table and chairs.
Other decorations matched the theme and created a great atmosphere.
Each table was decorated with it Of all the garden centre cafes we have visited to date, this was
the most pleasantly decorated. Full marks to the interior decorators
/ designers.
The cafe concentrates on good quality food presented
attractively. Even the simple toastie ordered by one of our party
was presented well, and it tasted good as well. It seems that all
hot food (toasties included!) is served to your table. Service was
excellent, no queues and no long wait. The prices were on the low
side. Two specials were on offer when we visited, at around 5.

Strikes at Wellington Hill is an excellent garden centre in several
areas. The range of plants is good and all were healthy. The staff
were plentiful and helpful. The double plant guarantee is good news.
The cafe is a very pleasant place to have a snack or something more
substantial. The staff are attentive and the food is well prepared
and tasty. We recommend this garden centre highly. COMMENTS

CAFE
All the aisles in the outdoor plant area were more than wide enough for
wheelchair users. The majority of the indoor aisles wre also wide
enough, though a few were a bit cramped. All areas were flat surfaced
and easily navigable.
The toilets were clean and functional. There were disabled toilets as
well.
Car parking was fine with lots of spaces on flat dry ground.

Message: I was very dissapointed that no attempt was made by staff to attempt to privde heat at the craft demonstration. I would be very supprised if Pat Taylor was able to stay untill 4.00 without catching pneumonia.
