The premier gardening information source
Click the picture on the left for more details.
At the centre of the gardens is a beautiful waterfall, click the
picture to see it more clearly.
The gardens are perfectly laid out and very well maintained. A
circular path meanders round and down to the waterfall with
diversionary paths along the way.
The paths are reasonably steep in places so it is only
suitable for the able bodied. Guided tours can be arranged on
request.
Some plants are featured in the gardens more than others. As
well as the Azaleas and Rhododendrons, there are a wide variety of
conifers and hostas.
Click the picture on the right and you will se a huge clump of
hostas with hardly a slug bite on them, a site never seen in my
garden!
Leave at least 30 minutes for the walk round, though you could easily
take up to an hour. Taking the guided tour would add enormously to the value of a
visit. An ideal trip for a local allotment group, women's institute or
club?

you can visit the Russell's Garden Centre gardens.
There are a wide variety of shrubs and trees both large and
small. We visited in June and it was beautiful. Visit the gardens in
May when the Azaleas and Rhododendrons are out and it must be
stunning.
