The premier gardening information source
Dobbies Preston Garden World is one of their
larger ones as evidenced by the modern entrance. We visited them
in late February when they were ramping up for the spring rush.

The outdoor plant area is functionally arranged in a
grid of paths. There was little in the way of displays to inspire
you. The area devoted to plants is large. Aisles were wide and free
of clutter making it easy to access all areas for wheelchair users.
Running round the main are is a covered area which would provide
good protection from any rain.
All hardy plants are covered by Dobbies five year
guarantee.
In common with most of the larger Dobbies Garden Worlds there
was a information centre. Much of the time there is a member of
staff in attendance. The building has various resources such as
books and articles for quick research. Bedding and tender
plants are stored next the main outdoor area and they are housed
in a fully covered area for rain and weather protection.

With a plant area so large it was good to see that that there were
plenty of large, clear, informative signs. This makes finding
specific plants easy.
