Radish
Radishes are usually sown with other crops
under cloches to maximise the usage of space. For an early crop of

where the cloches
have already warmed the soil for a couple of weeks previously.

Strawberries
Plant new strawberries in mid August without
cloche protection. In early October
put the cloches in place. You are guaranteed the earliest crop of
strawberries if you grow them this way.

Sow the seeds indoors or in a heated greenhouse in mid April and
plant outside four weeks later under the cloches. the cloches should
have been in position two weeks earlier. Remove the cloches when the
foliage starts to touch the roof.
