Genuine Russian Dolls

Having worked in Moscow for 6 months in the past I purchased
some genuine Russian dolls (matrioshka or nesting). These are not Polish or
Chinese imitations, they are the genuine article. Beware of
sites selling Russian 'style' dolls, they are worthless, poor
quality and not Russian! Made in
Sergei Pasad on the outskirts of Moscow these dolls are of the
highest quality of their type made from lime wood.

Russian Doll Type 1

With lots of the attractive wood unpainted this set of 5
Russian Dolls
has been decorated by burning the wood and painting other parts in
gold and white. All these Russian Dolls will sit straight on the ground (I
test all dolls) and the top and bottom parts sit together
well-matched.

A ten part Russian Doll, this is beautifully and intricately
decorated to the highest standards. This set of dolls is a work of
art. No Polish, Chinese or other imitation will ever match the
art quality of this set of Russian Dolls.

traditional way to exceedingly high standards of workmanship. This
a work of art, no doubt about it. Each doll has a separate
design from the others which further increases their value. The
scenes are from traditional Russian myths and legends, each is a
unique hand painted work of art.
