Garden Centre Reviews
Wolseley Bridge is medium to large garden centre. It stocks a good
range of healthy plants, has a spacious indoor shopping area and a cafe serving
snacks and main meals.

The partially covered outside plants area is pleasantly designed with
lots of side areas to wander around. The plants looked healthy and benefit from
Wyevale's five year hardy plant guarantee. The range of plants is extensive with all
the usual ones plus some less common ones. Prices were about average. The signs allowed
us to easily locate specific plants. INDOOR SALES AREA
The indoor sales area was neither modern nor outdated, about average. The goods
were not particularly well displayed and the whole area was not very inviting.
They did sell a good range of gardening accessories, you are likely to find what you
want at about average prices. The range of houseplants was more extensive compared
to many garden centres. They were in good condition and at average prices. CAFE
The Conservatory Cafe was not a conservatory, rather it was a very plain
room. The cafe was full when we visited, normally a sign of a popular cafe. But in this
case it was a sign of an understaffed kitchen!
When we ordered our hot meals we were told that there would be a wait of between 20
to 30 minutes. That explained the full cafe, everyone was sitting and waiting for their
food! The cafe was on the plain but clean side and there appeared to be no outside
seating area. When the food was eventually served, in our case freshly prepared main meal
specials, the quality was very good and it was piping hot. The pre-prepared paninis, jacket
potatoes, salads and sandwiches were only average though. The coffee (1.90) and the tea
(1.50) were excellent and there was a small range of cakes to accompany them. PET CENTRE AQUATICS GARDEN SHEDS / GREENHOUSES WATER FEATURES SPECIALITIES TOILETS CAR PARKING DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT Tel: 01889 574884 A map can be found

We didn't try it out but a visit to Santa costs five pounds and that include a
present, slightly lower than average. The range of real Christmas trees was good
and the prices were average. The rest of the Christmas display was disappointing.
There wasn't a large range of decorations and what was on offer was displayed
poorly. Little effort or thought had gone into the displays. xxx SUMMARY STAR RATINGS

Yes, ladies, gents and baby changing facilities. They were clean, relatively modern and
functional. They are located the far side of the exit tills.
Lots of car-parking on level, hard ground outside the main entrance.

Overall the Wolseley Bridge Garden Centre is about average. Nothing spectacular but it
serves the local community with most of their gardening needs. The wait at the cafe is
unacceptably long but thee hot main meals were well cooked and well presented.
The lowest rating is 1 star, the highest rating is 5 stars.
