Garden Centre Reviews
This is a totally independent GardenAction opinion of
the Trowell Garden Centre in the Nottingham area. Click any
picture to enlarge it. PLANTS AREA
The outside plants area, which is partially covered, is of a basic
layout but they have avoided the regimented look of many other large garden centres.
All the plants were healthy and attractively laid out. The range of plants and shrubs is
extensive and you will find lots of choice at this garden centre. INDOOR SALES AREA
The indoor sales area stocks a good range of standard gardening goods and
accessories at value for money prices.
The range of house plants (see picture) is particularly good and the prices are
cheaper than normal with no loss of quality. Lots of gifts, cards, barbecues, garden
furniture is also available at competitive prices. CAFE
The cafe at the Trowell Garden Centre is misleading. If you look at the
individual elements, it appears in need of a refurbishment (one is due in the next year)
but taken as a whole, it is a pleasant area for a coffee, tea, snack or main meal. It is
set in a corner of the garden centre, pleasantly laid out with a homely feel to it. The
general atmosphere is good. It majors on value for money with tea at 99p, a large coffee
at 1.30 and a competitively priced breakfast menu.
The main meal specials range in price from 4 to 7.They are attractively
presented and well cooked. There was no outside seating area at the time of our visit. We
liked this cafe and the meals they served. PET CENTRE AQUATICS GARDEN SHEDS / GREENHOUSES WATER FEATURES SPECIALITIES TOILETS CAR PARKING DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT Tel: 0115 9326920 A map can be found
