The premier gardening information source
The Tea Room Cafe at Stapeley restricts itself to mainly snack meals and coffee, tea and cakes. It's
a basic layout with plastic seats and chairs. But clean and functional.
The sandwiches, other snacks and coffees / teas (only 1.20) offer exceptional value for money.
For your money, the quality is good.
If the weather is good, the best place to sit is outside. On the
side of the plants area, it is pleasantly situated. INDOOR SALES AREA
The indoor sales area offers a comprehensive range of gardening goods. Also on offer
is the normal range of gifts, cards books etc. There is a particularly good range of
garden furniture.
OTHER FACILITIES
Stapeley Water Gardens specialise in two additional areas. Camping
first, with a huge array of tents and camping equipment. Second is the aquatics
centre which also stock a large range of accessories. There is a reasonable range of tropical fish. The range of pond fish is
exceptional, with fish of all sizes and prices. On the same site is the Palms Tropical Zoo. This is only open on certain
days so check their website
here. It wasn't
open on the day we visited but it looks good fun, especially for the kids. Combine the Palms
Tropical Zoo and the Stapeley Water Gardens for a whole day out. The Zoo has their own cafe
for meals and drinks. DISABLED FACILITIES TOILETS CAR PARKING The address is: Our sat nav got us to within half a mile along the London road based on the
post code. A map can be found
HERE SUMMARY The cafe is basic but offers good food at exceptionally good prices. We
recommend this garden centre, not only for the plants but for a day out when combined with
the zoo. COMMENTS
Cafe at Stapeley Water Gardens
TEA ROOM CAFE STAPELEY WATER GARDENS
The breakfast offer (click to enlarge) caught our eye. It offers exceptional value.
Overall, this is a basic cafe offering good snack meals at rock-bottom prices.
Access for wheelchairs around this extensive garden centre is generally very good. The paths
are wide and the floor surfaces flat.
Toilets were fine, with ladies gents and disabled toilets
Lots of car parking is available right outside the garden centre.DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT FOR
