Unusually at the Potting Shed Cafe, all the food is prepared on the premises - yes it really is home-cooking! Quite unlike the sterile cafes to be found in many of the large garden centre chains.
You can taste the the difference in the food and because the chef who has cooked your meal is there, that make the food even more special.

The food at the Potting Shed varies throughout the season. In quiet times the cafe serves teas, coffees, a good range of cakes and scones. Sandwiches (�3.95) are freshly made in front of your eyes and served with a crisps and some salad.

Excellent value.

The menu at the Potting Shed Cafe  homemade soup of the day at �3.25 which comes with a generous slice of bread. Panini and toasted melts are also available at an excellent �4.25. All prepared on the premises by Mandy (see right). The cafe itself is on the small side but clean and attractively laid out. There is outside seating for hot days.

In late spring into summer the menu expands to include main meals such as lasagne and a range of salads. The prices of all items represent excellent value with none exceeding �5. Beat that for homemade cooking!
