This is a totally independent GardenAction opinion of the Plant and Harvest
Garden centre in West Wycombe.

The outdoor plant area is in keeping with a very old garden garden centre. It is attractively laid out in a very basic fashion and is a great place to wander round. The plants tend to be either slightly unusual varieties or at the top end of the the gardening market. For instance, they have a good range of roses but they are all David Austin roses varieties. Superb quality but the cheapest is £13.49. |
| The same applies to clematis, lots of unusual varieties, competitively
priced but all at the top end of the price range. Having said that, you will find shrubs
at the £6 level as well and they are all in excellent condition. Have a wander round and a browse, the plants are in no particular order but that is not a problem in a garden centre of this size. |

The indoor areas stock a reasonable range of gardening accessories and feeds, you'll find most of what you need for the garden here.

For a garden centre of this size there was an extensive range of indoor house plants and they were attractively displayed. Also on offer was an unusual range of garden and conservatory furniture. |

The farm shop is also well worth a wander round. It stocks locally produced vegetables, cheeses, preserves, wines and lots more. Just outside is a boule court, playing equipment is on request, |
| The cafe is undoubtedly one of the most attractive features of the garden centre. It stocks a wide variety of foods (see the menus below) and also includes a full range of toasties and hot potatoes. We tried one of the "chutney" toasties and it was supremely delicious and filling. The prices are reasonable for the excellent quality of the food and the drinks. Main meals are served to your table by helpful and pleasant staff. |

At the end of the garden is a chicken coop (picture above right), the source of the eggs used in the cafe! With a choice of three seating areas, the cafe is suitable for all weather conditions. |

We really enjoyed everything about the Plant and Harvest cafe. The food was excellent, the
service good and the view and surroundings spectacular.
DISABLED FACILITIES
This garden centre is not really suitable for disabled access. The car parking area is
rough, as are some parts of the outdoor area and there are some significant slopes.
TOILETS
Ladies and gents were basic but clean and functional.
CAR PARKING
Lots of car parking, some with shade, a reflection of the age and maturity of the garden
centre.

SUMMARY
A garden centre with a clear area of specialisation as far as the top quality plants are
concerned. The farm shop is excellent. We have already explained how good we thought the
cafe was, a destination in its own right. We whole heartedly recommend a visit to this
garden centre and commend it on making the best of the space available.
