Garden Centre Reviews
This is a totally independent GardenAction opinion of the Haddenham Garden
Centre, Haddenham, near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
The outdoor plants area at Haddenham Garden Centre is a series of
straight paths separated by plants. Uninteresting and unlikely to inspire. The size of
the area is smaller than many independent garden centres in comparison to the indoor
sales area.
The plants themselves looked healthy and well cared for although no hardy plants
guarantee was offered.
There were no overhead signs to direct you to plant groups but the
smallish size of the plants area didn't make this a problem. They stock the common
plants that the average gardener would need. Several of the plants were not priced which
was confusing.
The prices were about average overall, although the plants themselves were
priced higher than normal for this area.

our visit. We compare to them average prices in the same year as the date of the review.
The cafe appears to have been opened or refurbished recently. The design is simple but attractive
with wooden beam and support features. The tables and chairs are solid wood with a paving floor.
Possibly because the cafe is new, there were very few people in it when we visited which is a
pity. The fare on offer is restricted to cakes, snacks and drinks.
We tried a couple of the cakes and a coffee. They were all excellent. Everything is
served to your table which is very unusual. The staff were pleasant, friendly and
efficient.
INDOOR SALES AREA
The indoor sales area stocked a good range of gardener's needs. At the far end was a
gift shop area. CAR PARKING The address is: Our sat nav delivered us to within half a mile of the garden centre on
Stanbridge Road. A map can be found
HERE SUMMARY The cafe is attractive and serves a good range of cakes, teas and snacks. It
deserves to be a success. COMMENTS

THE CAFE AT HADDENHAM GARDEN CENTRE, AYLESBURY
To one side there was a relatively large area given over to wooden indoor furniture.
Unusual for a small garden centre.
Lots of car parking on mainly flat and even ground.DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT FOR

Haddenham Garden centre is an asset to the local area, serving their gardening needs
well. The plants area could have a larger percentage of the floor area allocated to it,
possibly at the expense of the indoor furniture.

Message: i found the abovereview very fair, and i use the gc often, however i do feel it suffers from an attitude of'like it or lump it'mindset, their being confident that the extra petrol/car park, bus rides other wise involved entitles them to stick extra on virtually everything, then again, its also fair to say that the entire villages commercial set up is geared pretty much along the same lines.and is one thats repeated oin villages up and down the land in the uk!
