The premier gardening information source
The cafe is modern looking and spotlessly clean. It is on the first floor giving it a
more pleasant outlook compared to most other cafes.
The food at the cafe good, not excellent but definitely good. There
was a full range of filled hot potatoes, toasties and paninis from 4 to 5. When we
visited there were three main course specials (not served after 3 pm) on offer at 6
to 8. Salads were also there at 4.50 to 6.95. Coffees and teas were good as were
the selection of cakes. There were no queues at the time of our visit.
The cafe was on the first floor with views from one end over the
plants area. As well as indoor seating there was a very pleasant outdoor seating
area for sunny days. Wheelchair users weren't forgotten. Access to the first floor was
provided by a lift as well as stairs. Service was exceptional, the cafe staff being very attentive and
accommodating. HOUSE PLANTS
There was a good number of houseplants on offer and they all looked in good
condition. Some thought had gone into the display making it attractive. Prices were
about average. AQUATICS AND PETS
There were no live pets for sale. The aquatics centre sold a good number of fish,
accessories and feeds.
Outside there was an area for pond plants and fresh water fish. All were in good
condition. INDOOR SALES AREA
The indoor sales area was well laid out and easy to get round. Lots of barbecues,
furniture, gifts, cards, garden games and more. Next door is the Angus Gateway
shopping centre with a wide variety of shops.

SUMMARY
An excellent garden centre with lots of healthy plants. The indoor sales area, combined
with the Angus Gateway next door make this a great shopping destination. The cafe serves
good meals, has some atmosphere and the staff were amongst the friendliest we have met.
