Garden Centre Reviews
This is a totally independent GardenAction opinion of
Chard Garden Centre in the Somerset area. Click any
picture to enlarge it. PLANTS AREA
The outside plants area is traditionally laid out making it interesting
to wander round. Reasonably good signs indicate where the main plants groups are
situated and then they are arranged in alphabetic order. INDOOR SALES AREA
Being a traditional nursery business, you wont find miles of cards, gifts and
toys for sale at this garden centre. But you will find a smallish indoor sales area
that stocks most things your average gardener would need. Plant feeds, compost,
pots, spades, forks and lots more are here. The speciality at this garden centre is
home grown plants. CAR PARKING DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT Tel: 01460 63088 A map can be found

CHARD GARDEN CENTRE, SOMERSET
The Chard Garden Centre is in a beautiful part of Somerset (weather permitting!) and
well worth a visit if you appreciate a traditional nursery which grows the majority
of its own plants. The staff are pleasant and helpful so go ahead and ask a question
if you need expert advice.
There is a good range of plants for sale and they all looked in excellent condition.
Especially good was the range of climbing plants. We spoke to the owner, Neil, and
learnt that the vast majority of plants were grown on the site. Run as a family
business, Neil and his wife have a combined 50 years of garden nursery experience.
There is a gravel car park immediately adjacent to the main entrance with lots of
spaces.

Not known
A small garden centre growing excellent quality plants at very reasonable prices. The
bonus is that the majority are grown on site. This means that they haven't been trucked in
from Holland or transported half way across the UK. Our ratings below take the size of the
garden centre into account, the ratings are based on quality not size!
The lowest rating is 1 star, the highest rating is 5 stars.
