| Bardills have been trading for 119 years and it's no coincidence that
they offer excellent plants and service. This is a very friendly garden centre which
also has an extensive aquatics department. |

PLANTS AREA
The outdoor plants area is very pleasantly laid out with lots of island,
displays, nooks and crannies to make it very easy to wander round. The plants are in
alphabetic order in most areas with some signs to indicate the location of major plant
groups.
The range of plants for sale is extensive and they all look in good condition. At the
time we visited Bardills Garden Centre there was a very large range of roses on display. |
 |
INDOOR SALES AREA
 |
The indoor sales area is also large with a huge stock of garden and conservatory
furniture and barbecues. A full range of other garden accessories was also for sale
including feeds, garden tools, weed killers composts, pots etc.
There is an extensive range of house plants displayed in a very attractive manner.
These represent good value and looked healthy. |
|
The whole of the indoor area had been set out very attractively. It was modern but had
the feel of a traditional garden centre, and effect which many other garden centres are
unable to replicate.
CAFE
| The cafe at Bardills Garden Centre has very attractive indoor and outdoor seating areas. The
covered area is pleasantly wood panelled, both the sides and the ceiling, which gave the
cafe a log-cabin feel to it. The tables and chairs are traditionally styled in wood. No
plastic at this cafe! There is a large range of food to choose from with daily
specials coming in at around £5.50. |
 |
The daily carvery costs £8, toasties £3.25 and jacket potatoes from £2.75 to
£3.95. There is a full range of breakfasts served from 9am to 11.30am. This is clearly very
popular because when we tasted the food at around 10am the cafe was already filling up. The
quality of the food is very good as is the very pleasant service.
PET CENTRE
No.
