Winston Potato
General Description:
As well as being a classic but slightly larger new potato Winston makes
superb baking potatoes. There is little or no skin but when baked they form a delicious
crusty edge making the whole potato supremely edible.

Winston is a first early maturity with early bulking producing high early yields of few large uniform
tubers which are round oval with white, smooth skin, creamy flesh, and
with shallow eyes They are of low dry matter.
The Winston potato plant is medium spreading with a few thick pigmented stems. it has
medium sized mid green glossy leaves.
The Winston potato flowers are few are pale purple on a short stalk and it is rare
to have berries.
Ours, grown in potato buckets were ready for harvest in mid to late June (Midlands).
