         HOUSE PLANTS

Finding a good range of house plants at garden centres is becoming
more difficult nowadays. Dobbies, Dalgety Bay are no exception.
The display was small and unimaginatively displayed. The plants
which were on show were healthy and reasonably priced. AQUATICS AND PETS

No live pets or fish are sold this branch of Dobbies. There was
however and adequate range of pet accessories and feeds. On the
same industrial estate, next door to Dobbies, was a largish pet
store. This should satisfy some of your pet requirements.
             INDOOR SALES AREA CAFE

Hot main meal specials cost 6.95 and were tasty. On offer was
Haggis and potatoes, scampi and chips, macaroni and chips or fish
and chips. Any of these would be a good choice.
There was also a good range of less substantial meals on
offer. Baguettes, toasties, paninis etc. They were priced from
3.50 to around 5.00. There was an excellent range of cakes
available and the coffee and tea tasted good.
Main meals are served to your table and service was by pleasant
and helpful staff. The food was good quality, reasonably
well-presented and tasted fine. DISABLED FACILITIES TOILETS CAR PARKING DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT Note: At this point in time the postcode is not
recognised by most sat nav system nor is it recognised by Multimap or

Dobbies Garden Centre, Dalgety Bay

        (page 2)
The indoor sales area contains a gardening section with the
remainder given over to gifts, cards, toys etc. We thought that the
gardening area should have had more space allocated to it. The gifts
area contained a very varied selection of items but there was no
		specialisation.

The cafe was split into two sections. One was plain and
uninspiring. The other was more airy and better decorated.

All of the outside area was accessible to wheel chair users but some of
the indoor area had narrow aisles which would restrict access.
The toilets were basic but functional and sufficient.
The car park was flat and reasonably even. When we visited in
non-peak times the car park was already busy. In peak times the car park
		space might be a problem

        SUMMARY
This is a good medium-sized garden centre serving most of the local
gardening needs. The cafe isn't inspirational but it serves good basic
food at reasonable prices. Our only criticism is that too much of the
indoor area is given over to gifts. More area devoted to gardening goods
		would have been better.
