Jefferson produces green fruit (gages) and has previously been award the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit). it has good disease resistance and is a reliable annual cropper.

The fruit is a classic yellow and very juicy. The plums ripen ready for eating in mid August. It does require another plum tree for pollination and falls in pollination group 1.
